Code of Conduct
Last updated on April 29th, 2024
We are committed to hosting a conference at which everyone can participate in an inclusive, respectful and safe environment. We invite you to come to the conference in a spirit of curiosity, friendliness, open-mindedness and respect. We will not tolerate harassment or discrimination, in any form.
All participants, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, suppliers, organizers and volunteers are required to comply with the WORTH Leadership Summit Code of Conduct at all conference-related events. The code is aligned with commitments to diversity, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation held by the WORTH Association. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event to ensure a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone.
Expected Conduct
All participants are expected to:
Contribute to a professional atmosphere.
Treat each other with respect and consideration, valuing a diversity of views and opinions.
Respect the boundaries of other attendees.
Communicate openly, critiquing ideas rather than individuals.
Be kind and polite to others, and do not insult or put down other attendees.
Unacceptable Behaviours
These behaviours don't belong at the conference:
Offensive verbal comments or non-verbal gestures related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, national origin or religion.
Inappropriate use of sexual language, nudity and/or sexual images in public spaces or in presentations.
Deliberate intimidation, bullying, or discrimination.
Photography or recording without consent.
Sustained disruption of talks or other contents.
Ignoring health or safety guidelines that place yourself or others at risk.
Homophobia, racism or behaviour that discriminates against a group or class of people.
Sexual harassment of any kind, including unwelcome sexual attention and inappropriate physical contact.
Enforcement
Participants asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Anyone violating these rules may be asked to leave the event at the sole discretion of the organizers without a refund of any charge.
This summit is intended to be a safe space for all. If you witness or experience any unacceptable conduct, please contact a member of the WORTH team immediately.
