  • The inaugural WORTH Leadership Summit took place in Vancouver, BC at the beautiful Fairmont Waterfront Hotel.

  • We welcomed 275 attendees at this inaugural Summit. It was open to anyone connected to recreation, tourism and hospitality, from students new to the industry to those working in senior management roles. We use an inclusive definition of the terms woman and female. We welcomed trans, cisgender, queer and non-binary people in our community. We also welcomed men who support our mission to educate, elevate, empower and advocate for equity.

  • The Summit was an in-person event only.

  • No you did not, but membership is free, so why not sign up and become part of our community? You will get:

  • The dress code was business casual.

  • Summit attendees were provided with a continental breakfast, coffee and snack breaks, as well as a soup/salad/sandwich buffet lunch. Any dietary restrictions were happily accommodated.

  • Top voices in the recreation, tourism and hospitality sector shared inspiring ideas with the intention of sparking dialogue about issues that impact women in the workplace.

  • Of course! Networking was a very important part of this Summit. Networking in a community that wants to see you succeed is truly an uplifting and energizing experience like no other. Our goal was to provide you with the opportunity to make meaningful connections that will support you in your career and life journey.

  • Yes, it was possible to transfer your registration to another attendee, however a $50 processing fee was applied.

  • All cancellation requests had to be submitted via email to summit@worthassociation.com. Refunds were issued as follows:

    • Before midnight, April 1st, 2024 - full refund less a $50 processing fee

    • Before midnight April 30th, 2024 - 50% refund

    • After May 1st, 2024 - no refund

  • No, while there were a few VIP seats reserved, almost all of the seating in each session was general/open seating.
