Amal Masri

Chief Executive Officer, Fix the Broken Rung

Amal Masri is the CEO of Fix The Broken Rung, an organization with the mission of helping one

million BIPOC and immigrant women get promoted. Born in Saudi Arabia, Amal intimately

understands the unique challenges of climbing the ladder in the industry as what she calls a

“triple outsider”—a woman, a person of colour, and an immigrant.

Her DEI work is informed by both her lived experiences and her firsthand experience as an executive leading large teams through organizational transformation. This dual experience inspired Fix The Broken Rung’s comprehensive approach: the organization partners with executive teams on strategy consulting and training programs to diversify their leadership pipeline, while simultaneously operating a career accelerator program for emerging women leaders and mid-career women. Under Amal’s leadership, Fix The Broken Rung has trained 1,500 leaders across 10 industries and helped 50% of program graduates secure promotions within three months.

Amal’s insights and impact have been featured in prominent media outlets, including the Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Strategy Magazine, Global News Radio, and Investment Executive.
